Zoë Wilson x Memoize Perfumes

Client: Memoize London
Designer: Zoë Wilson
Products: Jesmonite AC100

This existing partnership led us to an exciting three-way collaboration, supporting Zoë’s project with the luxury perfume brand Memoize London, known for creating bespoke perfumes that combine craftsmanship, innovation, and distinctive, high-quality scents. We were involved with the material development and subsequent manufacture of sculptural perfume bottle caps for their collection of four unique fragrances.

Zoë’s initial vision for the perfume caps was to carve each design from a different type of stone: Portland, Heather Slate, Blue Slate and Bathstone. By examining samples of each of these stones, we developed four custom pigments that closely reflected the core colour profiles of each stone type. This ensured that the caps, while cast in Jesmonite, would retain distinct characteristics of the original stones.

To transform Zoë’s intricate geometric designs into a high-capacity production run, we chose to use Jesmonite AC100, which perfectly reproduces detail, holds opaque and vivid colour and achieves a velvety smooth result. Every unit cast was then carefully hand-finished and packed by our team, ready for full product assembly and shipping to a global market.

The success of this collaboration underscores our commitment at Greenacre Studios to creating highly detailed, sustainable and innovative design solutions for luxury brands. The caps beautifully showcase the complete art that is perfumery, along with Zoë Wilson’s ability. Each mini-sculpture provides a visual and tactile addition to the scent it accompanies, elevating the entire sensory experience.

“Our collaboration as a trio, bringing together the artistic ingenuity of Zoë Wilson, the olfactory craftsmanship of Memoize London and the material expertise of Greenacre Studios, highlights the magic that emerges when diverse creative forces converge. The transformation of the caps into Jesmonite is a testament to the beauty of reimagining form and texture, bridging the tangible and intangible.

In the decision-making process, the dialogue between shape and scent becomes crucial. The shape of an object influences how we perceive and interact with it, while scent adds a layer of emotional resonance. In our work, considering form and scent as complementary elements allows us to craft a truly multisensory experience that captures the essence of our shared vision.”
